MUNICIPAL MILK.
A WELLINGTON PROPOSAL. [BY TELEGRAPH. PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Sunday. Steps are being taken by the City Council to have a Milk Supply Bill introduced to Parliament during the coming session, in order that authority may be obtained by the Council to establish a milk station, at which the milk supply-of the city would be treated and distributed. The Bill also will confer on the Council the power to buy and sell milk and dairy produce, to manufacture butter, provide cool storage, and to act generally as' a dealer in milk and butter. In all, the Bill will contain 18 clauses, and amongst them is one to empower the Council to subsidise visiting nurses, and to supply milk to the poor of Wellington.
