TARANAKI PETROLEUM.
OPERATIONS HAMPERED. [BY telegbafb:.—press association.] New Plymouth, Thursday. Unfortunately, operations at the Taranaki Company's No. 3 bore, are being hampered by a blockage of the bore, caused by the breaking of a wire rope letting tools to the bottom of the well. Tho manager hopes to recover them at any time. Each time the grappling tools are withdrawn there is an escape of large quantities of oil, and gas is still coming strongly. " - ; • - <
