A NATIONAL TESTIMONIAL.
1 The national presentation to Mr. W. F. Massey, Leader of the Opposition, will take place at the Choral Hall this evening, when a large and representative gathering is expected. Mr. F. W. Lang, .MP., chairman of the Central Commit- \ -tee, will preside, and the presentation will be made by Mr. Jas. Allen, M.P. ; for Bruce, who will arrive from Dunedin by this morning's express. The proceedings will commence at eight o'clock, 'and the doors will be opened to the gene- •;. ral public at 7.50. The guests from 3 :, distance will be admitted prior to that ;\, hour. Ladies are specially invited to be ] present. Mr. and Mrs: Massey will be ; presented with a suitable memento, and a . : purse, running into a total of four figures, will be handed to Mr. Massey. Amongst .the members of Parliament, in addition : to Mr. Allen and the Auckland members of the party, will be Messrs. D. H. Guthrie (Oroua), E. Newman (Manawatu), Buick (Palmerston), F. M. B. Fisher it? ("Wellington), and possibly Mr. W. Eraser . (of Wakatipu). Messrs. Guthrie and . : Bnick are already in Auckland, and the other Southern members, will arrive this .morning.
