CHRISTCHURCH. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION'.] Christchtjrch, Wednesday. At tho Supremo Court to-day Richard John Leslie Bromley was found not guilty of perjury in connection with an affiliation case. AlfrecT Ernest Albert Johnston was found not guilty on a charge of the theft of certain tools, valued at £4 2s. James Gill was found not guilty on a charge of having broken and entered the hut of a railway cleaner at Methven. It was alleged that ho had entered the hut of another railway employee, and presented a loaded revolver at him. The defence was that the accused was too drunk to effect an entrance through an 18in wido window, or to load a revolver. DUNEDIN. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Dunedix, Wednesday. Louis Morris was sentenced to a month for not keeping proper books, and was ordered to be treated as a first-class misdemeanant. Frederick Charles Laley was convicted on a charge of wilfully setting fire to a dwellinghouee in Dundas-street. Sentence was deferred.. Fredk. Matthews was found guilty on charges of breaking, entering, and theft. In this case also sentence was deferred.
