SALE OF DRAUGHT STOCK.

Oamaru, Wednesday. There was a large attendance at the clearing sale of the Elderslie draught stock stud to-day, and good prices were realised. Mr. E- Short, of Feilding, purchased a four-year-old filly by Agitator, at 235g6., a four-year-old filly by Shepherd Lad at 141g5., and a three-year-old filly by Shepherd Lad at 80gs. A three-year-old filly, by Agitator, went to D. Duncan at llOgs., and the same price was given for a three-year-old filly by the same sire, by Mr. T. Muir. Mr. W. H. Waddell and Mr. J. Turnbull, Waikaka, also gave high prices for mares. The colts realised up to 105ge. The sale was a very successful one.
