THE OTIRA DEADLOCK.

Greymouth, Tuesday. The Otira deadlock continues. All out* side work is going on as usual, only tun- a nel workers being i affected. A notice to the men was posted, requiring a deposit of 10s 6d per lamp, such sum; to be re--turned when the lamp was handed back in good order.
It is stated that the x'eport that tie men at the Bealey end of the Otira tunnel had ceased work is incorrect. The men are working at present and all the| men are working outside the tunnel at the Otira end. Only the men. who are working in- the tunnel and require light are affected. - The shifts continue to go up to work as usual, but no lights being forthcoming the men have to return to :T their huts.
