CRIMINAL LIST. / The quarterly criminal sittings of the Auckland Supreme Court will commence on August 16, before His Honor Mr. Justice Edwards. The following is the list of charges as far as is at present mad© out: — William Alfred Lack, criminal assault, committed from Waihi; Charles Rolton, criminal offence on a girl under the age of 16, committed from Paeroa.; Charles Thomas Scorringe, breaking, entering, and theft from a dwelling (10 charges), Auckland ; Charles Henry Halley and Herbert Birkett, manslaughter, Onehunga; Emanuel Cyril Martin, forgery and uttering, Auckland; William Roberts, forgery and uttering (two charges), Auckland; John Reed, alias AIL .ft Reed, assault with intent to commit a criminal offence, Auckland; James Campbell, theft from a dwelling, Auckland; Oscar Volfred Sgovcll, criminal assault, Hamilton; Thomas Brown, arson, Hamilton Patrick Mooney, attempted arson, Auckland; John Nelson, assault, causing actual bodily harm, Helensville; James Campbell, committing a criminal offence, and assault with intent to commit a criminal offence, Auckland ; Samuel John Thorn, incest, Pukekohe; William Henry Dyer, cattle stealing, Kohukohu; same, horse stealing, Kohukohu; Mati Ravlich, false pretences, Dargaville (two charges); William Whogan, alias Hogan, bigamy, Auckland; Walter Robert Page, Charles Cummings, and William Barnett, robbery with violence, Auckland; Patrick Denis Smythe, assault, causing * actual bodily harm, Auckland; Albert Charles Weingott, theft of a horse, saddle, and bridle, Morrinsville.
