At the annual meeting of the Chamber of Commerce to-day the question of representation on harbour boards was discussed, and the following motion was carried: " That this Chamber is of opinion that representation on the Harbour Board is in the interests of the mercantile community, and that the executive be instructed to make - such representations in the matter to the proper quarters as may be necessary."
