Gillespie passed in, first aid in the first class. In addition to the above special lectures have been given to seamen by Drs. Ferguson, Goldstein, Murray, and Walker, and special examinations have been conducted by Drs. Murray. Wal- , ker, Grant, Moir, and Neil. First-aid lectures are being given at Hamilton by Dr. Recce, at Frank- : y ton by Dr. Going, at Te Aroha by Dr. Kenny, at. Thames by Dr. Lapraik, at Whangarei by Dr. Gilpin, and special lectures to seamen at the office of the centre by Dr. Walker. Dr. Clarkis giving the nursing. lectures at Ellerslie. Dr. Bedford begins the course at the office of the centre on Wednesday next, and the Hamilton ladies hope that Dr. Brewis will begin shortly. . ,
