AUCKLAND CLUB'S COMPETITIONS.

Tho members of the Auckland Golf Club held the first competition for Mr. E. Bloomfield's silver bowl at Cornwall Park links on Saturday afternoon. The conditions were very unfavourable for golf, the ground being sodden after the recent rains. The winning card was handed in by Lambert, whose net scoro was 85. Ho will, therefore, receive a silver goblet for his day's play. The conditions of the competition are that the player returning the two best,, out of throe, medal scores becomes the year's winner. Others who returned cards on Saturday were: Bums 86, Gordon 89, D. Kirker 90. Ivissling 91, Ball 91, Dudley 91, Mcintosh 91, S. Upton 91, Louisson 91. MacCormick 91, E. Horton 92, Mair 92, H. Horton 92, Alexander 93, C. Turner 93, Lusk 96. Heather 97. H. Foster 98, S. Ruddick 100, Nathan 100, Kingswell 103, Bruce 103, Owen 105. About 40 players took part. _ The captain's prize competition in tho. senior division was. also concluded when Burns proved victorious over Kissling, and, therefore, becomes the recipient of a handsome picture presented by Mr. W. B. Colbeck. Tho Eclectic competition, in accordance with the condition?, also concluded on Saturday afternoon. The scores will be announced during the week.
