London, July 10. The editors of 30 Liberal newspapers have had a conference with Mr. Lloyd-George, Chancellor of . the Exchequer, and the Budget League, respecting the new taxes. The proceedings were private.
, A cable on Friday stated that the Budget League, inspired apparently by % the example of the Empire editors' great gathering, had invited the Liberal editors of London and the provinces to a conference in London, and that the league's executive would seek advice as to the best methods of conducting the Budget campaign and explaining Mr. Lloyd-George's proposals throughout, the country. The Prime Minister (Mr. Asquith) has invited the editors to meet him at Downing-street after their deliberations.
