London, July 9. The final heats • for the Diamond Challenge Sculls and the Grand Challenge Cup (eights), in connection with the Henley Regatta, were contested to-day.
The race for the Diamond Sculls was won by A. A. Stuart (Kingston R.C.), the runner-up last year, who defeated Rudolph Lucas (Germany) after an exciting finis"h.
The " Grand Challenge Cup was annexed by a Belgian crew—Sport Nautique de Grand won from Jesus College. ..-.
This is the third time that a Belgian crew has taken the challenge cup. The Diamond Sculls. was won last year by A. McCulloch, and in 1907 by Captain W. H. Parel. Previous to that Blackstaffe held it for. several years. .
