MINISTER FOR EDUCATION.
[?; telegraph.— correspondent.] , • _ Hamilton, Friday. The Hon. G. Fowlds (Minister for Education) accompanied by Messrs. G. Edgeeurabe and H. J. Greenslade, M.P. (members, of the Board of Education), J. A. ■■ . Young . (chairman of the Hamilton West School Committee), visited the West school. The Minister inspected the various classes, and addressed the scholars of Standards V. and VI. It was announced . that the committee had granted a halfholiday in honour of the Minister's visit. The party then went to the East school, bat the teachers and .'scholars wore away attending the Winter Show. . '-The Minister then proceeded to the experimental farm at Ruakura, where he • 1 ps entertained at luncheon by Mr. and Mrs. Dibble. Later Mr. Fowlds visited .Cambridge. • - The MinifiU-r will leave Cambridge by tram to-morrow morning, in company with Jlre. Fowlds, on his return to Auckland.
