The annual meeting of . th© New Zealand ; Polo ;: Association was % held to-night, delegates being; present ,'from Christchurch; Fern ; Flats, , Hawarden, Hawke's :: Bay, Manawatu; Mangatu, Mangaheia, Poreora, Te Papa, Poverty Bay, Waiapu, Wellington, and Remuera. .The balance-sheet showed the association's financial position to be practically the same as last year. It,was resolved that the next annual ! tournament be held at Christchurch; and that Lord Plunket be , again asked to accept the 't position of patron. ;;; Officers were elected; ! as;; follows :—President, = Mr;/;;Heaton; Rhodes }'■• Management Committee, Messrs. Crawford; 'j hon. auditor, E. :'■ Bucholz. ;; It was resolved that the " Excilite ball be the official ball forth© coming season, ' and ; the co'mmittee • was instructed to import same from England. It was decided that the matter of pony measurement and registration remain as at present. - • • •; '' At the rournament;tb-day; the handicap cup matches were' continued. -YM anawatu ■' A (handicap 2) -beat' Christchurch (handicap:l6), by 17 goals to 16; Hawke's Bay (handicap 7) defeated Ma'ngaheia 5 (handicap 6), by 11 to 10. The '. semi-finals will be played i to-morrow, and; the finals for both the Savile and handicap cups on Friday.
