ATHLETICS.
AUCKLAND AMATEUR CLUB. CHAMPIONSHIP REPRESENTATIVES. A meeting of the Auckland Amateur Athletic Club was held last evening, when it was decided to hold & series of championship list races at the Domain ; to-morrow evening, at six o'clock,- for the purpose of selecting runners to represent the club at tho New Zealand ' champions!) ip meeting to be held at Dunedin on March 20._ Any member of the club may compete in the lists, the distances. to bo run being 100 yds and 4*oyda, and one mile. At the conclusion of the trials the coramitteo will select two representatives—sprint and lons distance. The meeting -decided. to send Hill to Wellington to represent the club at the gathering to be held there next Saturday.
HARRIERS CLUB. A meeting is to bo hold at the Amateur Sports Clubrooms on Friday evening for the PIP purpose of forming a harriers club. Mr. White,- captain, of the Caversham Harriers - Club, Dunedin, now in Auckland with a fire brigade team, will attend the meeting. H| ' MARATHON MEETING. ( .
