, MEETING OF AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the Auckland Cricket Association was hold in the Amateur Sports Club* room last evening. It was decided to postpone all matches next Saturday at the request of tho Auckland Amateur Athletic Club, that club having the New Zealand Marathon set down for decision on that day. The association also decided, in refcresc© to tho second draw of . tho second grade, to play two more rounds in tho same order as the first series. KARANGAHAPE V. AMBURYENGLISH. , A match between teams from Karangahape and Am bury-English was played on the Domain yesterday, and resulted in a win for Ambury-English by 14 runs. The scores were: Ambury-English: First innings, 52 (Horspool 16). McMatli took four wickets for 7 runs, and CosgrifF, five for 39. Karangahape: First innings, 38; second innings, 95 for six wickets (J. Lee 19 not out, McMath 17, P. Brown 17, Carpenter 17). Coates took seven wickets for 18 runs; Coppins, three for 13; Nunnerlcy, four for 29. OTAGO V. SOUTHLAND. [BY TELEGBAPH.— ASSOCIATION.] IxvERCARGiIiL, Wednesday. The interprovincial cricket match, Otago v. Southland, began to-day in beautiful weather. Tho wicket was very tricky and puzzled the batsmen, poor scoring being the result* Southland, batting first, were all out for 94 (Glasgow 33, Huntly 17). For Otago Wordsworth took six wickets for 24- runs. Otago made even poorer showing, being disposed of for 57 (Henderson 10, Blamires 10). Huntly for Southland took five wickets for 13 runs. When stumps were drawn Southland in fJieir second innings had lost eight wickets for 77 runs (Hamilton 32).
