RIFLE-SHOOTING.
MOUNT EDEN CADETS. DuniNG 1908 the Mount Eden School Cadets competed for a silver cup and medal, presented by Mr. Crespin, of 11. M. Smeeton, Limited. Competition was very keen, three boys—Corporal Boy Newman, Corporal Robins, and Sergeant Hewson— (Inmost, successful shootists. The cup and medal go to Corporal Boy Newman, who scored 269 out of a possible 336. Corporal Robins, with 247, was second, and Sergeant Hewson followed with 2+4. The cup is to Ixi held for one year, and the donor intends to present; a gold medal to the winner each year. ____.
