DUNEDIN GOLF TOURNAMENT.

Dt'NEDi.v, Friday. The Otagn Golf Club's annual New Year tournament was continued to-day in cold, windy weather. In. the amateur championship H. C. Smith went round in 81, and leads with 246; B. J. Smith scored 84, and comes next with 263; R. J- Smith made 88, and is third with 279. 11. A. Salmon's scoro was 89, and bo is close on the heels of R. J. Smith, with 280; and J. A. Gow (Christchurch), whose score was 97, comes next, with 282. Play in this event was, considering the weather conditions, excellent. The medal handicap was won by F. W. Maclean. The final round of tho amateur championship will be played to-morrow morning, and mixed bogey foursomes in the afternoon, after which the trophies will be distributed, and the tournament ends.
