Ain-ed-Dowleh (formerly Grand Vizier, and a kinsman of the Shah) yesterday shelled Tabriz, the headquarters of the reform movement, killing and wounding a hundred Nationalists. The latters' horsemen then made a sortie, covered by artillery, routing and pursuing the Shah's troops for 13 miles. Twelve guns and large quantities of provisions and ammunition were captured. The casualties on both sides numbered 2000. The Nationalists' dead included 67 women in male attire.
