CHINESE AND OPIUM.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—rRESS ASSOCIATION^] : . Palmfrston North, Saturday. The police raided a suspected opium den in Main-street last night, and effected an entrance by picking the lock of'the back door. They found three Chinese in a room at the back, (Lee Ping) smoking, with a considerable quantity of opium in his possession. Two more were discovered in another room. The Chinese will be brought be 'ire the Court.
