COOK'S MONUMENT.
[by telegraph.—rilESS association.] Gisborne, Saturday. The Cook Monument Rectification Committee, which was eel up some months back to raise funds for the purpose of having the names of the South African troopers erased from the Cook monument, has in hand and promised about £60. The total amount required for the purpose is £150.
