City with 110 on the board for four wickets, resumed batting on good wickets at A the Domain, the not-outs of the previous iwfcek, Heney and Cosscy, going to the !crease. EDEN A. • The Eden Colts resumed their innings at the park, Relf and Francis batting. The latter increased his score to 41 before being disposed of. Relf saw the rest of the side ' dismissed, raising his own score in the meantime to 161 not out. Neither he nor Francis gave a chance during the afternoon. With ( 268 against them and only three hours to play the -chances of Eden A did not look •rosy,,but Brooke-Smith and Cummings rose v; to the occasion and made runs rapidly They ' itartcd batting at 3.10 and by 4.25 hud • amassed 100 runsexactly half the time . taken on the previous Saturday to obtain the .. Both Brooke-Smith and Cummings .'played excellently, and batted confidently all-round the wicket. The Colts' score vas :. passed at 5.50 without the loss of a wicket. There were a fair number of spectators, and the..centuries were hoisted amid much excitemen. The wickets were well prepared and played excellently.
