LICENSING COMMITTEES.
OHINEMURI.

Pakkoa, Saturday. The quarterly meeting of tlio Ohincmuri Licensing Committee was held yesterday, the members present being Messrs. P. J. Burgess, S.M. (chairman), Cock, Franklin, Trezise, and Gavin. The permanent transfer of the Grand Hotel, at To Aroha, from J. W. Shaw to J. MeSwecnoy, was approved, and the permanent transfer of the Waihou Hotel, from H. McGill to R. Glynn Lewis. The police reports were favourable in til cases, exeept with regard to the Kauaeranga Hotel, to which the police required repairs to be made. As the hotel will after March next be in another licensing district it was decided to leave the matter to be decided by the committee of the other district.

The quarterly sitting of (lie Thames Licensing Bench wis held yesterday, Captain Swindloy presiding,' in the absence of the stipendiary magistrate, Mr. Burgess. The only business transacted was that of granting a transfer of the Tokatea Hotel. Coromandcl, from J. Lynch, juti., to 11. Kelly.
