In the drive south from i No. 2 rise the oro is showing a lot of sul- j phide ore, and gives a fair show of free goM in the mineral by dish-washing. The manager of the New Waitekauri mine expects to start, stoping immediately at the intermediate level. Ho intends getting out 20 tons or 30 tons from this block if possible to include in „the present crushing., The battery started on tho company's ore a week, ago, and tho manager hopes to keep it going for another fortnight or more.
