The specific thefts, allege ( against him wore stealing 70 bags on Octobo 27, and 17 on June 2 last. The value of th if'.- goods, which wero owned by Warned Brothers, was £21 10s. A remand in the case was applied for Chief-Detective Marsaek stating that accuse* had beers brought back from Hokianga oul; '■■■ yesterday. . ' ' Mr. Singer, for accused, did not oppose .. the remand, but asked for bail, which was ' Sited at two sureties of £50. or one of £103. Accused was remanded till Friday.
