The intimidation . exercised . by. terrorists, the unsatisfactory attitude of many of the crowd after the attempt on the life of Sir Andrew Fraser, and other ominous signs ill ■ Calcutta, have aroused intense indignation in Northern India, and a strong feeling is expressed in favour of the establishment of a Court of Summary Jurisdiction. The detective - inspector who tracked Blakai, the murderer of the Kennedys, at Muzzaffarporej was shot dead in a street in Calcutta yesterday by three Bengalis, who escaped. - (Received November-12. 12.35 a.m.) Calcutta, November 11. Kaniaope, the murderer of the in* former Gossain, was hanged at Ali» pur gaol to-day. Many women, contrary to the In*, dian custom, followed the body to the burial place. ; Y -' ; ' JL ~~ r ' The remains were placed on a pyre of sandalwood and specially anointed, as in the case of distinguished persons. The murderer's uncle delivered an oration, which was greeted with! . shouting. The mourners included thousands of students. >
