CALEDONIAN SPORTS.
[BY TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Invebcakghj., Monday. The Southland Caledonian directorate this year intend to give two days' sports, and the" programme passed to-night j showed f cash prizes aggregating £300, in addition to over £500 worth of trophies. The big item on the programme is £70 for the Caledonian Handicap. Last year the prize money for this event totalled £31. The total pri wmoney for the meeting almost equals the total of that offered : by , the four principal societies in Southland.
