A CLERGYMAN'S APOLOGY.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] • .';.''■ DrjNEDiN, Thursday. The Rev. A. Cameron has published an apology; and explanation in regard to his charges of cowardice against the Rev. Sutherland, concerning the " Christ of , the Cross" controversy. He states, "I feel that only harm can come from members of the Presbytery hurling names at one another, and in this respect 1; erred grievously in styling Mr. Sutherland's conduct as that ,of a coward, At next , meeting of the Presbytery, I shall withdraw : * this offensive expression, and apologise to Mr. Sutherland for my hasty and ill-advised words."
