STRUCK BY LIGHTNING.
A PECULIAR ACCIDENT.
[BY TELEGRAPH. CORRESPONDENT.] , Giskorne, Wednesday. During* a thunderstorm here Mr. Fred Burke met with a peculiar accident. He had just started carving dinner for the boarders of the Record Reign Hotel, when a flash of lightning came through the window and striking the knife in his hand flaelied up into his eyes and rendered him blind for over an hour. The sufferer has now recovered, although, his eves are still very .sore. '
