ABSENT YET PRESENT. As the flight of a river . ' That flows to the sea, My soul rushes ever :i- "'.■ in tumult to thee. ■'■'~ A twofold existence * lam where thou art; My heart in the distance Beats close to thy heart. Look up, lam near thee, ; I gaze on thy face; I see thee. Another looks, with eager eyes aglow, ■- . To some glad day of Joy that yet will dawn, And sighs, " I shall be happy then, I know; ' Oil, let mo hurry on !" \ But I—l look out on my fair to-day;;--"'-.
