THE LOST BELMORE.
VESSEL OVERLOADED.
By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright
London, September 10. The Board of Trade inquiry into the loss of the tug Belmore, while on the voyage from London to Sydney, found that she was overladen when she left Port Said.
The Plimsoll mark was then submerged, and the tug's stability was insufficient.
The Bel-more foundered in the Red Sea shortly after leaving Port Said', in a heavy gale, in June, only four of the crew, who endured great privations, being saved.
