The cargo steamer Mortlake, under the command of Captain Baten, arrived from Kobe (Japan) yesterday morning with a cargo of super, phosphates and sulphur. After being granted pratique the steamer berthed at the Queen-street Wharf to discharge her cargo. Leaving Kobe the steamer called at Yokohama, the latter port being left on July 10. Fine weather prevailed to Newcastle, where ft supply of bunker coal was taken on board. On the voyage across the Tasman Sea a heavy north-east'gale, with high seas and much rain, prevailed. Ott discharge the steamer leaves for Napier, Wellington, and Timaru with tho balance of her cargo.
