Wellington, Thursday. It is seldom that one hears of very large sums of " conscience"money being returned to the Treasury, but small sums are continually coming to hand. In to-day's Gazette the Minister for Finance acknowledges the receipt of 12 penny stamps " conscience money," forwarded to the chief inspector of machinery, Wellington.
