THIEF IN A STRONGROOM. Perth, July 27. An attempt to rob the strongroom of Drew, Robinson and Company, Albany, was discovered in a peculiar manner. The firm's branch at. Wagin was destroyed by fire, and one of the partners in the firm went to the Albany office to find out particulars of the - insurances. On ; opening the door of the strongroom a man fell into his arms in an unconscious condition. He proved to be one of the firm's employees. In" his attempt to escape he had succeeded in removing the fireproof lining of the door, but the strong outside door still barred his way to freedom. After recovering, with the aid of restoratives, he stated" that, he bought a screw-wrench the night before, placing it in the strongroom, when he was locked in.
