The City and Otaua seniors and Juniors! played on Saturday, the former having a double win. The senior match was a very hard-fought game, resulting: City (a try) 3 points, Otaua nil. For the juniors G. Mcßurney obtained a try, which E. Barriball converted, the game ending: City 5 points, Ottilia nil. Mr. J. H. Herrold was referee in both matches, and gave . every satisfaction. The City seniors have won the championship, carrying off the Molloy, Herrold, and Potter silver cup and the cap's.. The juniors play Wajpipi on Saturday next, when should the latter win the result will be a tie, and they will have to play off. ;. PUBLIC SCHOOLS' COMPETITION. - An A and B trial match will be plilyed at Victoria Park on Wednesday afternooii at 3.30.
