Time and again in the same day women go into the Sydney Public Library and inquire for the " Next of Kin" book. The officials, are so used to this that they cau tell the story of it oft-hand. The women have been to a clairvoyant or crystal gazer or palmist or the every-day fortuneteller, and the prophetess has told them that there is a fortune lying idle ready for them somewhere. They had better go and see if they have been advertised for by any anxious solicitors in the Old Country. There is in the Sydney Public Library m index of people advertised for; and i.' any of the names ia it are at all like theirs they have only to send 451 to a kind agent in Birmingham or somewhere and he will post them the advertisement by which the pe<"<m own ing that name is Bought for. These people are quite pathetically credulous. They go to the officials of the library for opinion as to their chances. " Here it says John Robinson (Australia) is wanted.
