SATURDAY'S TRIAL MATCH. Tat: selector tor the Auckland Rugby Union (Mr. D. Gallnher) has chosen the following teams to : play a: trial match at Alexandra I*ark next Saturday:— A team: Fullback, Miller ; threequarters, Renwick, Murray, Hughes (Hamilton); five-eighths, Bater and Winder (Thames); halfback, Kiernan; forwards, McDonald (wing), Herring, McGuire (City), Walsh,- Cunningham, Nicholson, 'Young (Goldflelds), Turner (Waipa).'' B team: Fullback, Johnson (Goldflelds) ; threequarters, Goote (Hamilton), Wilson, Skillen (Goldflelds) ; five-eighths, Snowling (Thames) and Stuckey; halfback. Barker (Waipa); forwards, F. Havwa'rd (wing, Thames), (iriffen, Capill (Goldfields), Waddel, McGuire (Grafton), Kinder, Hall, Hooner. . Emergencies: Backs, Carlaw, Hogan, Webb; forwards, Peterson, Topic, Wilkes. TUAKAU V. PUKEKOHE. The return football match Tuakau v. Pukekohe was played .at Pukekohe on Saturday, and on account of the greasy ball there was no fast play. Tuakau, with the wind behind them, had the best of the first spell, though neither-side scored, and Pukekohe'had decidedly the advantage in the second half, the game resulting in a draw, with no score. It was a well-fought contest throughout. Mr. Donaldson, referee from Auckland, gave satisfaction. 4 J NORTH SHORE V. WAIUKU. - A match between the North Shore Club and Wainku Ctty team was played on the. Waiuku Domain on Saturday, resulting in a win lor the local players by 15 points to nil. For .the ; winners »S. Wilson potted a goal and J., Bennett scored a try, which he converted, also kicking two penalty goals. The game was not very interesting from a spectator's point of view. The City and Otaua teams will meet on Saturday next.
