The chairman intimated that the meeting had been convened to*receive the report in connection with the recent conference between the Technical School Committee and the Council of the Waihi School of Mines, and to appoint three delegates to confer with the School of Mines, with a view .'. of arranging a syllabus in connection with the two schools, so that there should lie : no . overlapping in these classes. It was resolved that Messrs. Nicholson, Maekay, and Donaldson be the delegates t<* meet the Council of the School of ' Mines. . Tenders 'were received for making the necessary benches for the carpen- ■.'.-'. try and plumbing classes, 'and it was resolved to leave them in the hands of Messrs. Nettlingham, Maekay, and Nicholson for selection, pending the receipt of certain information from the Auckland Board of Education. A short Hitting of the Assessment Court was held yesterday morning to hear objections to the fresh valuation of the Ohinemuri County. Mr. F. J. Burgess, S.M., presided, and the 'assessors were Messrs. J. Kennedy and R. Craig. There were very few objections,, and a few small, reductions were made.
