Notice is hereby given that a. Local Bill will be introduced into Parliament during the next Session thereof under the title of " The Auckland and Suburban Drainage Act. 1908." The. object of the said Bill in to constitute a Drainage District, comprising the City of Auckland, the Boroughs of Parnell. Orel Lynn, Newmarket, and Mount Eden, and the Road Districts of Renutera. Epsom. Mount Albert. Archhill. Eden Terrace, Point ChevaHer. Oralcei. and the northern, portion of One-tree Hill, to create a. Drainage Board therefor, consisting of the Mayor and Counc lors of the. City of Auckland, .power to construct and maintain main .drains and sewers for the drainage of the wholei of the «aid drainage district into the Wa.itemata Harbour, at a place called Okahu Point, and to provicle for the disposal there of such drainage and sewage, and to acquire property and do all other things necessary or incidental to the execution of such drainage works and for such purposes to borrow on debentures a sum not exceeding £500,000, at -i rate of interest not exceeding Four pounds ten shillings per centum per annum, and to create a sink fund for the payment thereof of not less than ten shillings per centum per annum, and for the payment of a" coats of and expenses in connection therewith, to levy contributions on the whole of the local authorities within such Drainage Disnct. The above Bill will be introduced into Parliament by or on behalf of the Mayor. Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Auckland. A cdpv of the said Bin and of the plan therein referred to has, in accordance with tne Standing Orders, been deposited .m the Magistrate's Court, Auckland, and is there open for public inspection.
