POLICE LAUNCH.
Sir.— much longer are the police authorities going to let tins desired power boat remain unprovided? One is constantly reminded of its requirement. Two oil launches have been built lately for tho luxury of oyster control, and will only be required for the business a few months, while the greatly demanded police patrol launch is still only promised. It is required for police work in connection with Bolls Island, and was wanted this week to carry the gumdigger's remains from Brown's Bay to the morgue. It is constantly required for the suppression of crime in our harbour and in times of marine disaster, yet it comcth not. A Sufferer,
