Another busy day was experienced on the Stock Exchange yesterday, mining stock again receiving most of the attention- In standard stocks New Zealand Portland Cements sold at 24s 9d, 24s 6d, and 24s 9d, closing with buyers at 24s 6d, and sellers at 243 Bd. In mining lines a parcel of Waihis changed hands at £9 2s 6d, and closed with buyers at £9 2s, and sellers at £9 3s. Talismans were steady, . and sales took place at 465, 45s 9d, closing with buyers at 45s 6d, and sellers at 465. Grand Junctions were done at 33s 9d, and more were wanted at that figure, sellers holding out for 345. Consolidated Goldfields sold from 14s 6d to 15s to 143 9d, closing with buyors at 14s 6d, and sellers at 15s. A sale in Progress Mines took place at 9s 4d, and they closed with buyers at 8s 6.-.], and sellers at 9s 6d. 'A'aifangis were- steady, and sold at 4s 3d and 4s 2d, and more, were available at 4s 3d, buyers offering 4s Id. Sales in Old Haurakis took place at 2s 4d, 2s sd, and 2s 6d, and more were obtainable at the latter figure, buyers offering 2s sd. There was some inquiry for Tangiaroa (6d paid), and sales were effected at Is Sd, Is 9d, Is Bd, and more were wanted at Is Bd, sellers holding out for Is lOd. A parcel of Tangiaros (Is paid) was sold at Is lOd, and closed with buyers at Is 9d, and sellers at Is lid. May Queens wore done at Is lOd, aud more wp.re wanted at that figure, sellers holding out for Is lid. Sales in Crowns took place at 6s Bd, 6s 6d, 6s Id, and 6s 3d, and closed with buyers at 6s 2d, and sellers at 6s 4d. A parcel of Golden Belts (paid up) was done at 2s Id, and more wero sought after at that price, sellers holding out for 2s 2d. Tairua Broken Hills were sold at 3s, and closed with buyers at 2s lid, and sellers at 3s Id. Tairua Golden Hills (9d paid) sold at 3s 3d, and closed with buyers at 3s 2d. there being no sellers offering. Tairua Golden Hills (6d paid) were done at 2s lOd and 3s Id, and closed with buyers at 3s, thero being no sellers' quotation. Southern Queens were dono at 4£d; Victorias at B|d; Golden Pahs at 4£d and sd; Hauraki Freeholds at 3d ; Golden Cross at 6jid: Karangahakcs at 6d; Maorilands (paid) at sd; "Vlaorilauds (con.) at 4d and 3£d; Phoenix (6d. paid) at lid and 10£ d; Tairua Triumphs at Is 4d.
