Since the outbreaks c incendiary 7 fires at the reference library and Masters and Son's shop, in High-street, the police, have been specially vigilant, and a careful examination j of a cottage in Chester-street, which was j destroyed by fire early litis morning, re- i vealed evidences that load to the conclusion ! that it is another case of incendiarism. ; A number of auger holes were found in { the floors, and round these the flames dad j burned most, fiercely. It is almost certain i that the holes were bored for the purpose cf providing a draught for the flames.
