UNLICENSED BOOKMAKERS.
[BY TELKGKAI>H. — ASSOCIATION'.] Hastings. Friday. Two unlicensed bookmakers, J. Lonergan and William Soanlau, were to-day each fined £5. and costs £1 7*. for refusing to leave the Hustings racecourse when requested to flo sc. Mr. McCarthy, 8.M.. said he had imprisoned others for a similar offence, without the option of a tine, and would do so again. Lonergan contended that lift was not plying his calling, and would appeal.
