Sir,—ln a late issue of the Her alp, undo? the heading of " Tho Bible and Physical Science," "A Soldier" tells us that it ia now proved that light existed in our solar system before the sun was created, and that: therefore the Bible account of the cosmos. is correct. All scientists, whether Christian" or agnostic, agree now in holding the nebular hypothesis of the cosmos, which is that*our solar system was once an incandescent . nebula, having the materials now composing the sun for its centre. Portions from fcimo, to time were' cast off from the outer ring of the nebula, and formed tho pfanots, including thi,-: earth, but the greater part w:w finally concentrated in our tun. The sun. is, therefore, as old as this- earth and has been shining e\ r er since tho crash (in collision of two dead suns, us stated by Sir Robert Ball) formed it. Genesis i. is, therefore, wrong, as anyone can see, for it state* that trees and grass wore made on the third day. and the «un on the fourth. Sixty thousand snob, nebluse are now evolving, and haw been photographed. J, W. KEXAH.
