An Oxfordshire clergyman, when crossing the Atlantic, was asked by Abraham Lincoln how he would advise him to see England. " Thai depends," was the answer,
"on the time you can devote to it." "Well," was the rejoinder, "I. think I can give a fortnight." '"If you can only give a fortnight," mi id the other, "you had better give it all to London." "No," replied the future President, " I have had a good deal of advice, and I think I'll just hire a buggy and drive myself over the little island in the time."-
