Thuisdav. i * The Second Regiment of the A.M.R., which ' has! been in camp since Saturday last, held a tournament last night in the Hamilton Horse Bazaar. The result* were as follows : — ; Leading Hurdles Competition, over six { flights of hurdles: Sergeant Shaw. A Squad- | ron. 1; Corporal Even, B Squadron, 2; j Sergeant Given, B'Squadron, 3. 1 Victoria Cross Competition: Corporal Given, B Squadron, 1: Corporal Elliot, A Squadron, 2; Sergeant Ranstead, A Squad-| ron. 5. Tent Pegging by Fours: Sergeant ' Brute's team, D Squadron, 1: Sergeant ilanstead'a team. A Squadron, 2: Trooper Niocoii'.s team, A Squadron. 3. Lloyd-Lindsay Competition: & Sergeant Shaw's team, A Squadron. 1; Sergeant Melville's team, A Squadron. 2; ' Sergeant. Given"* team, IS Squadron, o. Tug-of-war on Horseback, eight' men abide: B Squadron team and E Squadron team will pull off in the final. Tent Competition, Striking and Pitching: Sergeant Melville's team, A Squadron, 1: Sergeant Raiu-tead'.i" team, A Squadron, 2; Trooper Nieeoll's team, 3. In the tng-of-war between the volunteers and a team representing the Hamilton Rugby Union, a very close and interesting contest resulted in a victory for the volunteers by two pulls out of three.
