NEW ABERDEEN LINER.
SUCCESSFUL TRIAL TRIP, By Telegraph— Association.— TRfcceived June 16, 11 p.m.) London*, June 16. The trial trip of the new Aberdeen liner Pericles, from Cardiff to London, was a great success. The submarine signalling apparatus was tested, and found to work perfectly. The Pericles Has built by Messrs. Har-I land and Wolff. of Belfast, "to the order of Messrs. George Thompson and Co., Ltd., of London, the niumtgiug uv.new of the Aberdeen Line, (railing between London, Capetown, and Australia. Sin." was launched on December 21, .1907, and i* a twin-screw steamer of 12.000 tons register, and therefore one of the largest steamers engaged in the Australian trade. The steamer is timed to leave London on July 8 for South African ports and Australia.
