WELLINGTON EXHIBIT OPENED

Wellington, Thursday. New Zealand Industries Week commenced here to-day. ween 30 and 40 shops are making displays that testify to the variety and qualify of goods thai can be made in the. Dominion. A unique exhibit is that of Messrs. Kirkcaldie and Stains, who have a, weaving loom at work in the window manufacturing rugs. Woollen goods predominate in the displays made, but there are some excellent exhibits of New Zealandmade boots and shoes, pottery, furniture, electric cars, basket ware, canned meats, and fruit and vegetables, etc.
The exhibits are calculated to push to the front many manufactured lints that have lacked such advertisement in the past.
CHRISTCHURCH DISPLAYS. [BY TELEGRAPH. —I'KESS ASSOCIATION.] Christchcrcil, Thursday. The New Zealand Industries Week, promoted by the Canterbury Industrial Association, was opened this morning with a number of fine displays of New Zea-land-made soods exhibited in prominent shop windows throughout the city and suburbs.
