It is proposed, as soon as possible, to it-sue a Prospectus offering to the public 103 Acres at Waiorongomai. and to form a Limited Company of 100.000 shares at 5s each, of which Is shall be payable on allotment, and the balance by small calls, as required, for the purpose of driving a tunnel, 500 ft, which the extract from a report quoted below shows will intersect four known reefs. In addition to the 400 ft of " backs" this tunnel would give, there are 700 ft, more above water level for future operations before any sinking would be necessary. Two water rights have been secured, also two good battery sites, close to the workings, and everything is ready to start work on the level of the County Tramline. Assays taken from four reefs by a wellknown mining engineer, give the following results:—No. 1 Reef, six feet wide, assay values £4 lis and £20 lis 3d per ton of 20001b: No. 2 Reef,'three feet wide, assay value £5 143 2d; No. 3 Reef, two feet wide, assay value £5 4s 3d; No. 4 reef, four feet wide, assay value £5 7s 9d. These assays are not to be accepted as the average values, but are sufficiently encouraging. I have good authority for stating that the sulphide ores in the lower levels of this district (where work will be started) are amenable to a very simple process, and can be treated on the spot satisfactory and without smelting, and with very inexpensive plant. .'•''..'■ The company would also have the alternative, which did not. formerly exist, of reducing the bulk by concentration on the spot, and shipping the concentrates by steamer from Waiorongomai direct to the Waiomo Smelting Company's wharf. By driving in this direction you would intersect four reefs known to exist in your mine, which would provide at least four hundred feet of backs. This drive would crosscut an extensive belt of splendid andesite country, which . the reefs in your property are running through. As it has been proved beyond a doubt, in the adjoining districts that the values improve at depth, I- consider this property has a most. promising future.
