"SLOWEST AND FILTHIEST."

ROTORUA EXPRESS CONDEMNED. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OW.V CORRESPONDENT.] Wellington, Thursday. A recent visitor to Rotorua, states that from the time he left Auckland until he arrived back there was only one thing that was not thoroughly delightful. "While you have a Wonderland more weird and beautiful than anything on earth, so aweinspiring and entrancing that no pen that I know has ever done Rotorua bare justice, while the hotels, food, and attendance are all that could be desired, while the trips are conveniently and economically arranged, while the baths are a hygienic delight, yet a visitor is forced to travel by the slowest and filthiest train in the Dominion. One would think that this would be the one section in New Zealand on which an attempt would be made to run a train de luxe, or something approaching it, but it seems to me, that quite the opposite opinion is held."
